Lioh Möller
Born in 1976, Lioh Möller is widely recognized as one of the pioneering artists who developed Urban Expressionism, a style that combines the aesthetics of street art with new media technologies. Growing up deeply immersed in urban culture, Möller began their artistic journey with traditional street art and later expanded into electronic media, starting with ANSI and ASCII art.
Their work is often provocative and engages with political issues as well as contemporary themes that reflect the spirit of the times. While remaining closely connected to street culture, Möller has adopted less invasive methods such as glued posters, showing a commitment to both artistic expression and respect for the community.
Their practice also includes installations and performances that are frequently designed to be temporary and dynamic within public spaces. By embracing the fleeting nature of urban life, some of Möller’s works exist for only a few hours.
This transient quality has become a defining feature of their art. It challenges traditional ideas about preserving art and highlights the brief, ever-changing moments of urban existence.
